The picture on top shows the conditions before our system was installed and the bottom picture shows after our system was installed.

The pictures on the right side show a "flocking Barrel" in the plant of a customer (Precision Pipes & Profiles Ltd.) where flocking is done on pvc sections (used in cars - as window glass liners).

Flock is made up of polyester cut fibers which are deposited "in standing position" electrostatically.  Flock being very light gets airborne and spreads all over the factory area causing nuisance and pollution.

We were entrusted to retrofit a dust collection system on existing flocking barrels.  The job was challenging because the barrel mouth was roughly fabricated making any kind of sealing very difficult.  We designed a special "bearing seal" and a suction box at both the ends of the barrel so that there is equal pressure on both ends - ensuring no airflow through the barrel - as airflow through the barrel would have removed the prime material (flock).
