Cyclone Dust Collectors

 

Cyclones dust collectors have added advantage of no moving or consumable parts. The cost of running is very low.  Cyclones of various performances are available - for particles of different micron sizes.

Cyclone based dust collectors are more suitable where bulk quantities of not-so-fine dust are to be collected. 

 

The picture here shows a cyclone dust collector that has a trolley mounted container latched on to the bottom of the cyclone and an ID Fan is fitted on top of it.  

In case of large quantities of dust to be collected a rotary airlock can be fitted in place of the container - for continuous discharge of collected material.

 

CYCLONE DUST COLLECTORS

Cyclone Dust Collectors are the most basic dust collectors 
suitable for the collection of not-so-fine dusts.

The advantages are:

  • If the process generates sparks, no problems because there is no combustible item such as filters, etc.

  • If the dust/ chips are hot, it can handle safely

  • There are no consumable items such as filters
